Tip # 9

How to Save Gold

This is probably one of the hardest things to do on Fantage with all the shiny new pretty tongues , alien hats and unicorn heads. I made a tip similar to this one a couple months back that kind of adds onto that tip. (Click here to link to that )

Whenever I’m in my-mall and I’m always trying to save on gold but there are times when I find an item I want for a decent price that I end up spending gold that I really should be saving .

The first rule of saving up gold . DON’T ENTER MY-MALL!!

This rule only applies to you if your an impulse buyer and you like to buy nice things without thinking about it then you shouldn’t even bother walking in My-mall. Or else you may be stuck in a situation like the the one below. :

Meme with name

If your an impulse buyer only enter the mall if your planning on selling some of your items  or make investments by buying items for cheap and then later selling them for regular price. Only invest in items that you can guarantee that people are going to want to buy for regular price. Any profit you make is something so if your able to make an extra 300 gold that’s still something . Just remember that there are taxes so always look at what you will get to know if you will truly make profit .

If you don’t really care or aren’t really attached to some of your items then sell them if you don’t need them. I’m pretty sure that if you sell them and they’re being sold for a decent price than you can make some gold off of them. With that gold you can save it up so that you can buy all the nice items you want on your wishlist .

Now before you sell an item think about a few things before selling. I’ve sold items before and regretted my decision after .

Here are three questions you can ask yourself before you sell an item :

  1. Will I regret this later ?
  2. Do I still like wearing this item ?
  3. Am I going to get rid of this in order to get something I want more or do I like them both equally  ?

If for two out of three of these questions you answer No then go ahead and sell your item(s). As long as you think about it and don’t really have any doubts then go ahead with your decision .

Always remember that if you are trying to save it doesn’t mean you can’t spend your gold . You could waste your whole Fantage experience saving up just to buy Movie Star Hair (which is 500k+)  but what’s the fun in that ? You can buy items but always make sure that you set a limit on how much you spend so that you don’t go broke .

For Example :

                  ( Item you Want )

If you have 30,000 gold and you want to buy a few new things because you haven’t bought anything in a while but your know saving up to buy bunny noise which is 20k .

Screenshot (4160)

You decide to still go on a my-mall shopping spree to look for items on your wishlist so you use your gold to buy winter pink hair since you find it for 8.5k . You’re then left with 21.5k but your not sure if you should to buy bunny noise as well even though you set a limit for yourself to always have 10k gold with you .

In a situation like this you should still keep your gold and wait till you earn more gold so that you aren’t broke and only left with 2,000 gold to spend .

If you limit your spending them you will always have gold with you and never go broke because once you go down to zero gold it may take a while depending on how well you sell your items to get back all the gold you spent again .

“You could waste your whole Fantage experience saving up just to buy Movie Star Hair (which is 500k+) ” It’s actually more than a million gold (and that’s considered cheap), but you just described me and mymall. I’ll spend a little, then save more, then spend a little, etc etc. Always trying to get Msh… I will someday. 🙂

Trading? No thanks. I’ve never been scammed before, and I’d like to stay that way. Same though, it was originally sold for 1 million gold, so I saved up to that and happily started searching for it; only to find it for 4 million. 😦
